Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Protect against accidental equipment injuries

IMPLEMENT YOUR OSHA LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURE

We provide assessments, training, and program development regarding lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements for industrial, robotic, and facility operation equipment. Standards for OSHA lockout/tagout procedures, found in 29 CFR 1910.147, state that workers must shut down (lockout) and/or place warning signs (tagout) when disabled equipment is being repaired or is not functioning properly. Proper lockout and tagout programs prevent faulty equipment from being started or used, which significantly reduces related injuries or fatalities on the job site.

Any organization that has machinery, technical equipment, or robotics should develop safety OSHA lockout and tagout procedures. The law applies to any device that can release energy should it start unexpectedly and constitute a hazard to workers.

IEA’s experience providing LOTO services includes national and international client bases. We have supported industrial and manufacturing, medical devices, printing, healthcare, government, and educational clients. Our teams have assessed process line, facility maintenance, robotic, and utility equipment for safe LOTO procedures.
