Electrical hazards are a leading cause of workplace injuries and fatalities. Fortunately, the incidence of injury or death can be reduced through the identification of hazards, development of electrical safety training, and implementation of comprehensive programs. At the Institute for Environmental Assessment (IEA), our electrical safety consultants assist clients with challenges related to electrical safety in education, healthcare, industrial/manufacturing, commercial, and government agencies.
Electrical safety inspections and training
OUR OSHA ELECTRICAL SAFETY SERVICES
Our electrical safety consultants will test, inspect, and train organizations to reduce electrical hazards and meet OSHA electrical safety standards.
- Assess electrical safety hazards related to the development of OSHA’s Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and program to safeguard workers from hazardous energy releases
- Develop an electrical safety program for unlicensed maintenance electricians
- Develop an electrical safety label system to warn employees of flash hazards
- Recommend personal protective equipment when applicable
