Confined spaces increase the risk of hazardous conditions
Employees within a variety of environments that work in confined spaces are, by definition, working under hazardous conditions. As a result, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has developed standards for identifying, testing, and training in confined space environments. We provide confined space assessments, training, and procedures to ensure you are complying with OSHA confined space regulations and keeping your employees safe.
Confined spaces can include facility locations such as boilers, storage tanks, process vessels, ventilation exhaust ducts, sewers, utility vaults, tunnels, open bins, and open-top trenches. According to the OSHA definition, a space is considered a confined space if it meets all of the following criteria:
- Large enough to bodily enter
- Limited entry and exiting
- Not designed for continuous occupancy
