IEA Safety Attends MNAPPA Event at Gustavus Adolphus College
On August 20, 2025, IEA Safety had the opportunity to attend the latest MNAPPA event, featuring a tour and presentation of the recently expanded Lund Center at Gustavus Adolphus College.
The day began with networking, followed by a presentation on the Lund Center’s transformation and an in-depth tour of the facility. The expansion, which opened in spring 2022, features:
-
A 72,000-square-foot addition
-
A 22,000-square-foot open-concept cardio fitness center
-
A new weight training facility
-
Three aerobics rooms, including one with built-in scaffolding for TRX equipment
-
New locker rooms, staff offices, and a welcoming student lounge
The event concluded with a roundtable discussion on current higher education facility challenges — a timely conversation for those involved in campus planning, safety, and operations.
IEA Safety would like to extend a huge thank-you to Gustavus Adolphus College for hosting, especially Travis Jordan and Thomas Brown for their warm welcome and guided tour. We also greatly appreciate the project team and presenters for sharing their expertise:
-
Trevor Thompson – Kraus-Anderson
-
Tina Branstad & Kyle Lunke – BWBR
-
Alex Quast & Will Maki – IMEG
Events like these are invaluable for connecting with peers, learning from recent projects, and staying engaged with the latest trends in higher education facilities.
We’re grateful to MNAPPA for organizing such an informative and collaborative day!
