Assisting with fungal investigations and management
AIR QUALITY EVALUATIONS FOR FUNGAL / MOLD CONCERNS IN FACILITIES
Fungi are ubiquitous in outdoor and indoor environments. When excess moisture accumulates in building materials from water leaks or intrusion through the building envelope, mold growth may occur. Many building materials, such as sheetrock, provide an ideal environment for molds and bacterias to grow. Indoor mold testing and addressing moisture issues as soon as they appear is critical in minimizing fungal and mold growth on building materials and potential health consequences, especially those with allergies or asthma.
At the Institute for Environmental Assessment, Inc. (IEA), we offer diagnostic and remediation management related to mold in the workplace. We provide air quality evaluations to determine the extent of water damage and mold growth resulting from water events. We also undertake the management of remedial work and offer follow-up surface and air quality tests for mold to confirm issue resolution.
